In the past couple of days, Falmouth RFC have received the very sad news that the Club’s oldest Life Member, Clifford Wills (affectionately known as Cliff), has passed away.

Cliff and his wife Mavis, were well known at the Club for being at the centre of all things social; in times gone-by they ran the bar, organised the bingo and were always the life and soul of the Club. If you needed a volunteer for anything, Cliff was always on the list, pity he was a supporter of the ‘round bag of wind’ brigade but this was, perhaps, negated by Mavis and Cliff’s son Steve, playing for many years at the Club.

Cliff was what every club needs as a Clubman; loyal, committed, always ready to go the extra mile but most importantly, social and fun.

Cliff you will be missed and thank you so much for your support over the years.

Mavis and Steve, you have the Club’s deepest sympathy and we standby to support you at this very sad time, but look forward to celebrating Cliff’s life in the Club he loved at sometime in the future.
